The Top 3 New Toronto Restaurants to Try Before Summer Ends

by Lauren Power

With the plethora of new restaurants popping up across the city, it can be overwhelming to land on which ones you should prioritize for your end of summer plans.

Here are our top three recent openings we always recommend, plus our choice of food and beverage pairings.

Soluna

If you don't have any travel plans this summer but are dreaming of a city escape with vacation vibes - check out Soluna! With a tropical, bohemian theme and a gorgeous rooftop terrace, you'll feel like you've left Toronto when you step in the door.

Before the Summer is over, be sure to head up to the rooftop terrace.

Our order? The refreshing Ceviche Verde with a glass of Anticavigna Pinot Grigio.

Prime Seafood Palace

Have you been bingeing The Bear on HBO? Or crazy about gorgeous restaurant architecture? Prime Seafood Palace is a must-try for you. Recently visited by Architectural Digest for a tour and created by the famous chef Matty Matheson - AKA Neil from The Bear - the Palace lives up to the hype.

With a variety of seafood options, caviar, and even some steakhouse favourites, Prime Seafood Palace is our new go-to spot for a special occasion (or to treat ourselves!). Our no-fail seafood pairing? Prosecco!

Valerie, Hotel X

Valerie is the new three-level fine dining restaurant at Hotel X. Looking for some of the best city skyline views in Toronto? This is your next date night or girls' night out spot!

With a live lounge, sushi bar, and rooftop terrace, Valerie has it all: the experience, food, and beverages to enjoy.

Ordering from the Sushi Bar? Pair your favourite rolls with some bubbly, and order a glass of our favourite: the Tenuta Santomè Prosecco Brut Treviso DOC!
