In the medieval hill town of Monteprandone, the De Angelis family has farmed the same land for three generations — the estate is named for Amilcare De Angelis, affectionately known as “lu kont,” or “the count,” in local dialect. Just kilometres from the Adriatic and the Sibillini Mountains, the family’s Pecorino, Passerina, Montepulciano and Sangiovese reflect Marche’s underrated position between sea and mountain.
