Sangiovese 90%, Merlot 10% from Mercatale Val di Pesa, Tuscany. Intense ruby red with notes of cherry, raspberry, tea leaves, lavender and pink pepper. Balanced, fruity and round on the palate. Aged 16 months in vat (10% in oak for 6 months) and 2 months in bottle; drinking well for 5–10 years.
